Apna Islam is an independent Islamic companion application developed by Apna Islam. The App provides prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran reader, Duas, Hadith library, Tasbeeh counter, Islamic calendar, and a community feed. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representative of any Islamic organization, government body, mosque, or religious authority.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the App in any manner, you unconditionally accept these Terms — whether or not you have created an account. The Developer reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. User Eligibility & Account Responsibility

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 years in the EU/EEA)
• If under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Permitted Use

You may use the App only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes, in accordance with Islamic values and applicable laws.

You are expressly PROHIBITED from:

• Using the App for unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent purposes
• Posting content that is offensive, obscene, hateful, or contrary to Islamic principles
• Impersonating any person, scholar, religious figure, or organization
• Spreading religious misinformation, false fatwas, or fabricated Hadiths
• Attempting to hack, reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the App
• Using automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with the App
• Collecting personal information of other users without their consent
• Violating any applicable local, national, or international law

5. Community Feed — Content Policy

You bear full and exclusive legal responsibility for any content you post. The Developer does not create, endorse, verify, or take responsibility for user-generated content.

Prohibited Content:

• Hate speech, sectarian propaganda, or content inciting violence or discrimination
• Sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic content
• Content promoting terrorism, extremism, or illegal activities
• False or fabricated religious information presented as authentic
• Spam, advertisements, or unauthorized promotional content
• Content infringing copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property

The Developer reserves the right to monitor, edit, or remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at any time, without notice or liability.

6. Intellectual Property

All original elements of the App — including source code, design, logos, and interface — are the intellectual property of Apna Islam. Quranic verses, Hadiths, and Duas are sourced from publicly available Islamic reference materials and remain the heritage of the Muslim Ummah. By posting content, you grant the Developer a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display and distribute your content for App operations, while retaining ownership.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including harm arising from reliance on religious content, prayer times, or Qibla direction.

11. Indemnification

You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Apna Islam from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use or misuse of the App, any content you post, your violation of these Terms, or any rights of any third party.

12. Account Termination

The Developer reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access at any time, without prior notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms, posting harmful content, or suspected illegal activity.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India, including the IT Act 2000, the DPDP Act 2023, the Indian Contract Act 1872, and the Consumer Protection Act 2019. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. EU/EEA users retain their statutory rights under applicable EU law.
